COVID-19 Service Updates

EFFECTIVE MAY 2021

Taking care of older adults in their home is at the heart of what we do at Optage. For this reason, we feel fortunate that we are able to continue to provide the care and services our clients depend on to stay home and stay well. In all our service options, we are following guidelines and procedures from the CDC, State Department of Health, local and county authorities.

Meals

Optage Meals has returned to our pre-COVID method of delivering meals.

DELIVERY OF YOUR MEALS:

  • Please do your best to be home for your delivery. If we are unable to reach you or gain entry into your building, we will not be able to deliver your meals. We do not redeliver for missed meals.
  • If you cannot get to the door or will not be home for any part of the day, please leave out your cooler bag or container for the delivery staff to place your meals in. If you have a menu to turn in, please place it inside the bag or container. If you have not received a cooler bag to use for your deliveries, please let us know.
  • If there is NO cooler bag or container at your door, we cannot reach you, or we have no alternative delivery instructions, the delivery staff will NOT be able to leave your meals and they will not be redelivered.
  • Please make sure we have your most current information and delivery instructions.

ORDERING YOUR MEALS:

  • The preferred method of placing an order is to use your paper menu and return it to your driver each week. If you are leaving out a cooler bag, you may place the menu inside the bag.
  • Please use the paper menu to ONLY order your MEAL items. Other notes or changes such as side choices, skipping delivery, or address and phone number changes will need to be emailed or called in to the office.
  • You may email or phone in your order (please see below).
  • The deadline to place your order is 3 business days before your delivery date.

If you reach the voicemail system, leave the spelling of your first and last name as well as a phone number. Please leave the item numbers you would like, and we will process your order. We do not return calls for orders left on the voicemail system. Please indicate if this is a Standing Order.

Home Care

Clients who live in private residences are receiving home care services. Clients who live in senior living communities will receive care contingent on the protocols and procedures in place at their specific community.

  • All Optage home care staff are trained in infection control.
  • We are screening staff and clients with each visit.
  • Adjustments may be made in schedules. Clients will be contacted if their caregiver’s schedule changes.

Hospice

Hospice employees continue to provide care to clients facing life-limiting illness and their families.

  • All Optage home care staff are trained in infection control.
  • We are screening staff and clients with each visit.
  • Adjustments may be made in schedules. Clients will be contacted if their caregiver’s schedule changes.
